Bo Nickal is one of the few fighters who has interacted with Donald Trump outside the UFC. Nickal has publicly endorsed Trump on multiple occasions. He recently made an interesting point about Trump and President Joe Biden amidst the ongoing run for the US Presidential elections.

Joe Biden and Donald Trump are contesting again for the seat of President of The United States. Both parties have their own groups of followers and critics. When the topic rose on Bo Nickalโ€˜s โ€œNickals and Dimesโ€ podcast, one of the co-hosts brought up the golf challenge that Donald Trump threw at Joe Biden at the recentย  Presidential debate. The UFC middleweight does not think Biden could take on the former president at golf.

I don’t think he could. He couldn’t make it through a hole. He can’t walk off his stage by himself, how’s he going to call a single hole apart three. And I’m not saying this to hate on the guy, I’m just saying as realistic.

Nickal himself has played golf with Trump. He even shared a few pictures with the former President taken at a LIV Golf event on social media. It sparked significant reactions from the public. Some fans praised the interaction, while others expressed disappointment and criticism towards Nickal for associating with Trump.

He even shared the story of how the opportunity came up in the first place. As per what he said in the podcast, Trump had previously watched him fight at his UFC debut. Another high-level athlete had canceled on playing golf with Trump because his agent supposedly told him he may lose some endorsements because of bad PR. So less than a week after his UFC debut, Bo Nickal was in a golf cart with Donald Trump having conversations for more than four hours straight.

Cody Brundage and Bo Nickal locked horns at UFC 300. The fight lasted two rounds and Nickal secured the win with a submission via rear naked choke. However, the three-time NCAA champion was not happy with his performance. None of his opponents yet had lasted past the first round and Brundage believes there is a good reason for that.

He recently did an interview with MMA Fighting where he went over his UFC 300 showdown with the undefeated wrestler. Brundage believes he was a tougher fight for Nickal than people would like to give him credit for. The presumption was that Nickal would completely manhandle Brundage which did not happen and Brundage revealed why.

Iโ€™m the only guy heโ€™s ever fought who came from a wrestling background. I think thereโ€™s easier fights out there for him than me โ€” and people would probably say just because of that wrestling background and some of the things I bring to the table.
