Donald Trump hastened off the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, after a gunman shot him at a rally on Saturday. A bloodied Trump, who said he was shot in the ear, recovered and pumped his fists up in the air. Still in the fight, the attempt on the 77-year-old Maverick has taken the world by storm. UFC middleweight star Chris Curtis believes it was staged.

Trump’s campaign said the presumptive GOP nominee was out of the woods. Although there was much bleeding, Donald Trump himself said he heard the whisk of several shots. He was able to duck while one shot hit part of his upper ear. The matter has gone quite viral among UFC fighters who praised the ex-POTUS. On the other hand, Curtis cooked up some theories.

FBI identified the gunman early Sunday as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Secret Service agents fatally shot Crooks, who attacked from an elevated position outside the Butler farm show rally. Amid the tension and emerging info, close friend and UFC bossman Dana White even reacted to the matter. Nevertheless, Chris Curtis remains unfazed.

More to it, he thinks the whole incident was too touch-and-go for an attempt on an ex-POTUS. That, too, with multiple shots fired. Trump entered the Kaseya Center once before at the finish of Kelvin Gastelum vs. Cutis on the UFC 287 pay-per-view prelims. Despite his special walkouts or with multiple fighters rallying to his cause, Curtis finds the whole ordeal fishy. Trump pitched his side of the story.

All in all, the course of the shootout, however horrific, has been a sympathy driver for opinion polls. Meanwhile, UFC CEO Dana White has clarified that he still plans to hail praises during the next RNC.

White will introduce Trump at yet another Republican National Convention, July 15-18, at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over the years, he has been a top Republican advocate and already appeared in two RNCs in favor. All in all, as Chris Curtis hinted, things have fallen into place a bit too perfectly. But things haven’t gone all smoothly.
