Donald Trump was speaking to supporters at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday when he was shot. UFC CEO Dana White, a close friend of the ex-POTUS, was sick to the bits when he got the news. White found out about the assassination attempt while on a plane flying to Italy.
Secret Service escorted Trump, with what appeared to be blood on his ear and cheek, raising his fist after the assassination attempt. Butler County Prosecutor Richard Goldinger told reporters that the assailant was KIA (Killed in Action), with another in severe condition. The matter has gone quite viral amid UFC fighters. Now, CEO Dana White pitches his thoughts:
I’m on a plane right now flying to Italy and my phone has been blowing up with text messages from people informing me @realdonaldtrump was shot. I am absolutely SICK to my stomach and in complete shock. I still don’t know how bad it is or if he’s ok. But @mickmaynard2 just sent me this picture and I’m praying President Trump is 100% healthy.

White often credits Trump as an integral part of the UFC’s success, even in the toughest moments. The ex-POTUS has accompanied many UFC pay-per-view events as a special guest to the UFC CEO. His special walkouts to his cage-side seat have gone viral many times. Hence, it’s no surprise that White expressed his concern at length.
As more information about the shooting emerges, many see the case as helping Trump win the presidency in 2024. At the very least, White will once again be speaking on behalf of Trump in an effort to bring Republican power back to the White House. The UFC CEO also nudged in on the driving rhetoric of his bravery.

Trump was on the campaign trail two days before the Republican National Convention. The 77-year-old was indicted yet again in 34 counts of falsifying business records in a hush-money case. Hence, he was prolific in his efforts to go into overdrive. Shootouts at Trump National Doral, violence at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, multiple indictments; nothing could keep the maverick down.

On Saturday, Trump spoke for about 5 minutes before the assassination attempt. While visibly hurt, he shot up his hand in the air, repeatedly chanting, “Fight.”
His security rushed to the stage and whisked him to his SUV while supporters kept chanting for him. The imagery sent a strong message to his devout followers; even White took notice. The UFC CEO sang praises, echoing his earlier statement about Trump being the ‘greatest fighter’ citing resiliency.

During “In Search of Excellence” Podcast Episode 112, the more Libertarian-minded White told the host how his convention speeches were just passing on a favor for his close friend. While he maintains his reverence for Trump, he has always stayed away from politics.
However, the recent struggles and the effort to rise above them had changed his views. White even agreed to speak at yet another RNC convention at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Donald Trump connecting to his supporters while getting shot showcases heaps of resilience, and White is all here for it.
