David Goggins and Sean Strickland have gone back and forth with each other for a while now. It looks like the former Navy SEAL has had enough of the online trash-talking. He announced that the ball was in Strickland’s court with his recent video on social media.
Former Navy SEAL and internet personality David Goggins recently sent out a video on social media. In that video, Goggins reiterated his open challenge to Sean Strickland to come and train with him. He also showed the DM he sent to the former champion on Instagram.

Goggins had previously done an extensive training program with MMA veteran Tony Ferguson. The entire MMA community saw Ferguson’s condition while he was going through it. Goggins has multiple endurance achievements under his belt and no professional MMA experience. So it will be interesting to see if the 49-year-old does step into the cage with Strickland.

This was after a series of back and forth where Strickland had called the veteran a con man and challenged him to step in the cage too. Strickland had also recently sparred with former Navy SEAL Mitch Aguiar where he left no stone unturned in hurting him in the cage.

Sean Strickland has apologized to David Goggins. The UFC’s trash talker has extended a hand of truce to the former Navy SEAL. This was an interesting development, especially after having actively trolled Goggins since February of 2024.

Sitting in his car, the former UFC champion talked about how he was just bored and angry and uttered some praise words for Goggins. However, he is still ready to engage the former Navy SEAL in the ring, but even if it does not happen, he is cool with Goggins.

Strickland revealed that he was frustrated for not getting a title shot and claimed he was training hard waiting for his potential rematch. ‘Tarzan’ lost his UFC title to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297 and has since demanded a rematch. It will be interesting to see if both parties move on from this or if this culminates into another exciting throw-down video on the internet.
