Middleweight fighter Abdul Razak Alhassan caused a stir at a recent UFC media scrum. He showed up wearing a custom-made t-shirt that seemed to take a jab at fellow fighter Joaquin Buckley. This caught the attention of UFC officials. They promptly asked Alhassan to change his t-shirt before the press conference officially began.

Later, during the media scrum, Abdul Razak Alhassan openly expressed his disappointment. This incident added some unexpected drama to the lead-up to the upcoming UFC Fight Night in Denver. Abdul Razak Alhassan is scheduled to fight Cody Brundage in the middleweight division. However, he strongly dislikes Buckley for his recent antics.

I had the Buckley is a b*tch t-shirt, and they (UFC) told me not to wear that. What s wrong with that? If you are watching this, you re still a b*tch. I hate that MFer. Well, not hate. Hate is a strong word. I dislike him.

Abdul Razak Alhassan and Joaquin Buckley share a history. The duo competed against each other in 2022, and Buckley won a split decision. In recent times, Buckley has received much recognition after his four-fight winning streak. ‘New Mansa’ has taken his star power to a new level with his Conor McGregor callout and feuding with legends like Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping.

On the other hand, Alhassan will aim to return to the win column against Cody Brundage. The Ghanaian MMA fighter is 2-2 in his last four fights in the UFC. He recently suffered a submission loss at the hands of emerging talent Joe Pyfer. As such, Alhassan will look for a return back to form and wants a rematch with Buckley to settle the score.

At his UFC Vegas 67 post-fight news conference, Alhassan went on an all-time rant as he unloaded repeated fiery calls for a rematch against Joaquin Buckley. All sorts of insults were hurled as Alhassan aired his grievances over 11 minutes.

I want to fight that b*tch a** Buckley again…. Let’s go in the center of the ring. Let’s f*cking b*ng and see who the f*ck is going to go down first. That b*tch a** was throwing one punch and is like, ‘Oh, let me take you down.’…I want to whoop your a**. You’re a f*cking b*tch.

It remains to be seen if the rematch will happen or not. Alhassan is now in the middleweight division, trying to make his name. On the other hand, Buckley potentially remains one or two major wins away from a welterweight title shot. He has names like Gilbert Burns and Shavkat Rakhmonov in his mind. As such, Buckley might not entertain a rematch anytime soon.
