The Buffalo Bills have a lot going on inside their camp and it is not something they would have wanted to start their offseason with. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs is at the heart of all the controversy, as he failed to show up for the team’s mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.

While there is widespread speculation as to what might have prompted his absence, Bills quarterback Josh Allen has taken up some of the blame upon himself as to what might have caused Diggs to take such a step in the first place. The 27-year-old wants to incorporate the wide receiver more next season, by getting the ball to him more than they had done last season.

However, amidst all this hubbub surrounding Stefon Diggs, the quarterback is only aiming for one thing and only one thing cometh the end of the season in 2023/24. He wants to lead the Bills to their first-ever Super Bowl title, something which he has been extremely vocal about ever since the start of the offseason.

Buffalo Bills fans have suffered heartbreaks on four consecutive occasions from 1990-1993, when they made it into the Super Bowl, only to come up second best every time. In fact, the Bills are the only franchise to have not won the Lombardi Trophy despite making it into four Super Bowl appearances during their famous Jim Kelly era.

Allen wants to change this and identified winning the Super Bowl as his number one goal in life. The 27-year-old also heaped praises on the Bills fans, claiming them to be the best, and saying that he would not be playing for any other team.

“The fans here are unbelievable. I don’t want to play for anybody else in my career and I want to make sure that I bring a Super Bowl to this fanbase because they deserve it. They’ve been through a lot and it’s awesome. It’s my No.1 goal in life,” Josh Allen said during his appearance on the premier episode of the podcast, Like a Farmer.

The Buffalo Bills have been the team to beat for the past three to four seasons, but have failed to make it big during the postseason. While Allen is arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL currently, he too has failed to crack the code of the playoff games so far in his career and will look to change this in the 2023/24 season. The Bills need to fine-tune their mistakes, and that would definitely make them one of the leading contenders for winning the Super Bowl this season.
